Plasticcycle conducted awareness sessions on 23rd March 2026 at Battalgala Estate and on 24th March 2026 at Pedro Estate to educate participants on plastic pollution, its environmental impacts, and the importance of responsible waste management practices.
The sessions highlighted the 4R concept - Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle, encouraging participants to reflect on their daily plastic usage and disposal habits while adopting more sustainable practices.
An interactive eco-brick activity was also conducted during both sessions, where participants learned how to repurpose non-recyclable plastic waste by filling used plastic bottles, demonstrating a simple yet effective solution to minimize environmental pollution.
